Celebrate Roseboro at BloomFest in April

Roseboro is the second largest town in Sampson County. For just over a century it has been a crossroads, a place where others cross through on the way through to their destination, and where a few chose to stay and call home.  In the 1950’s it was cited as “The Biggest Little town on North Carolina,” for its thriving industry in bricks, cotton thread, and lumber milling.

Named after, John M. Rose, the secretary of Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railroad Company, Roseboro was incorporated as a town in 1891, and named after Mr. Rose, out of thankfulness towards the railroad company that gave its residents jobs and a community. Shortly thereafter, Roseboro got its own post office and a handful of businesses, including Sampson County’s first drug store!  Today, Roseboro has some 1,400 residents and is celebrated as a treasured small town with its own barn quilt located along Sampson County’s Barn Quilt Trail!

The town of Roseboro invites you to mark your calendars for Downtown Roseboro’s Annual BloomFest on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10 am to 4 pm!
