Ashford Inn

The historic Ashford Inn is located in Clinton, North Carolina. We are one hour from Wilmington, NC, and one hour from Raleigh, NC, and 20 minutes from the junction of two major interstate highways – I-95 and Route 40. Traveling with Fido? No worries! Our Cottage is dog friendly, but please ask about fees and considerations concerning dogs.

We offer an active military discount. Ask about roll-away beds, shuttle services to wineries and airports, and bikes! Long-term rates may be available – please call or email for details. Due to the historic nature of our inn and furnishings, we are unable to accommodate children under 12 years of age.

If you like noisy hotel corridors, crowded lobbies, cookie-cutter rooms or microwaved breakfast sandwiches, then you won’t enjoy the Ashford Inn. However, if you like to read next to a fireplace or sit in a cozy family room and enjoy a glass of wine, or just want a restful night of sleep you have come to the right place.  During COVID-19, we are not serving a full hot breakfast as is our norm.  However, we are offering sealed, grab and go breakfast items and fresh fruit.

SAFE TRAVEL PROCEDURES DURING YOUR STAY:
➡️ We are offering a “grab-n-go” breakfast to reduce contact.
➡️ We have implemented enhanced room cleaning and sanitation with extra time in-between one guest and the next guest staying in our rooms.

Our inn rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable, and there’s always a full gourmet breakfast waiting for you… on your schedule!  Our Wine Bar is a favorite spot to catch up on e-mails or finish that last-minute status report.  Your home away from home!

We encourage you to relax in the garden, cozy sitting room with a gas fireplace, on our rocking chair porch, or in our bar area!
