Old Sorghum Festival at McDaniel’s Crossroads

Held on the third Saturday of October.  This year October 19, 2019 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, the Old Sorghum Festival, gives everyone a chance to experience a part of the past and the tradition of sorghum cooking. Each year they work hard to produce gallons of  Sorghum syrup for attendees to taste. The Old Sorghum Festival is fun all day with craft and food vendors such as barbeque sandwiches, hot dogs, funnel cakes, authentic Mexican food, and shaved ice. Visitors can also go to the old country store or the Old McDaniel School. The Old Sorghum Festival is sure to make you feel like you are in the 1900’s.
