There are many bands or groups touring today yet few of them are considered a musical institution. The Embers have solidified their position as a thriving musical entity and have left their mark on listeners for decades. The Embers boast numerous albums and single releases that span decades and all the crazes continuing to exhibit top quality showmanship\, musicianship\, and professionalism. Having been inducted into the South Carolina Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame and most recently the South Carolina Beach Music Hall of Fame\, The Embers are honored to carry the moniker of North Carolina’s Official Ambassadors of Music. The Embers are widely considered a musical marvel and have laid the groundwork for what has become known as ‘Beach Music’ in the Carolinas\, Virginias\, and the gulf coast region of North America\, and every beach in between. The Embers themselves consider the genre of Beach Music as “music with a memory” and have been creating lasting memories since they were formed in 1958. Simply put – the Embers perform feel good music – music with lots of heart and soul.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Annual Coharie Indian Cultural Pow Wow on September 9-10\, 2022 at the Coharie Tribal Center in Clinton\, North Carolina. \nCelebrate and honor Native American culture and experience American Indian drumming and dancing competitions\, American Indian food\, crafts\, artwork\, and exhibits. The Coharie Indian Cultural Pow Wow is a time of education\, enjoyment and good food for the whole family. \nEach Coharie Indian Cultural Pow Wow dance session begins with a grand entry\, a procession of royalty and dancers. The flag bearers lead the procession carrying the eagle staff\, the American flag\, and frequently\, the POW/MIA flag. Being a flag bearer is an honor usually given to a veteran\, a respected traditional dancer\, or an elder. Indian royalty is next\, consisting of tribal and organizational princesses\, braves\, and other dignitaries. The head dancers lead a single file procession of dancers arranged by category and age. As a sign of respect\, everyone is asked to stand during the grand entry and men should remove their head coverings. \nCulture\, heritage\, and pride run strong among the people of the Coharie Tribe. Since 1969\, the Annual Coharie Indian Cultural Pow Wow has been a way to celebrate and maintain Native American traditions. Weather conditions such as wind\, low visibility and other weather conditions could prevent the plane from flying. No refunds will be given if plane is unable to fly. The scheduled time for the drop is at 3 PM. If the pilot sees that weather conditions are more favorable at a different time\, the time may change. She is passionate about raising awareness around issues that plague underdeveloped\, underserved\, and marginalized communities. \nCharly qualified as a semifinalist amongst the final 32 contestants on Season 3 of American Idol in 2004. \nSince her teenage years\, Charly has established a career as a professional singer-songwriter with unique passion and voice. \nCurrently\, Charly is writing her first solo album. Recently\, she was inducted to the Recording Academy Class of 2021. Her newest band configuration\, “CHARLY”\, was selected to participate in “American Music Abroad”\, curated by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the Association of American Voices.

Over 25 years in the making\, Jim Quick and Coastline\, like their namesake the Atlantic Coastline Railroad\, have been traveling the “tracks” of the southeast\, and connecting with the hearts of loyal “Coastline Crazies.” Pulling from the threads of Soul\, Blues\, R&B\, and Americana\, Jim Quick and Coastline weave together their own genre of music known as Swamp Soul. Delivered with precision by lead singer Jim Quick and his band\, this group captures the true\, honest spirit of traditions born and bred in the small southern towns of America. These five musicians\, whose talents have landed them numerous awards in the industry\, bring this Indigenous music to life in the most genuine way possible. Jim Quick explained it best when he said “I want my music to be a bridge for many genres; a place where traditional and contemporary music can unite. But I do love the pure emotion and simple-yet-deep concepts of roots music. I’m a Southern boy and it all hits home; the lyrics and heart of the music\, from the melodies to chord progressions\, it all strikes an ancestral nerve with me.” The band currently maintains an average of 250 tour dates per year\, with an ever-growing fan base that is as diverse as the music of the band itself.
