allows.  The trails do not need to be done in any order and all are “stand alone” trails.\nAnimal Acres  – Various farm animals will be available for the children to see and learn about.  A Hubb’s Farm Staff member will be there to answer questions and share information with the groups.  There will also be boards around Animal Acreas telling about the different animals.  Children will get to see a cow\, goats\, sheep\, miniture horses\, donkeys\, ducks\, chickens\, rabbits\, peacocks\, turkeys\, and possibly other animals at times.\nCharacter Traits Trail – Leaders can lead the group down the trail that includes 10 common traits that are common in individuals.  All but one trait is positive.  Can you guess what the negative one is?  The negative trait is Bullying.  This is a great time to talk at bullying and October is anti-bullying month. \nCommodity Trail – Trail that includes the top 10 agriculture commodities in North Carolina.  Do you know what a commodity is?  North Carolina is an agricultural leader in the United States. \nSunflower Info Display – Learn that sunflowers are a unique and valuable plant that have many uses.  Learn important facts about the diverse flower and then walk through the sunflowers. \nNature Trail – Walk the trail and learn about various trees that are native to eastern North Carolina and are identified along the trail. \nFarm Tracks – locate 6 medallions while walking the Nature Trail.  At medallion the student will create a rubbing of an animal track from each medallion.  At the end of the trail will be a banner and the student can identify and match the tracks to the correct animal. \nBee Waggle Game – Walk the flower field to find 6 medallions.  At each medallion the student will make a rubbing that will reveal the dance moves that bees make to tell other bees where the best flowers are located.  This is a fun and interactive way to get the students moving once they get back to the “hive” and show off the different Bee Waggling moves.  This simple game educates on the importance of bees and how they communicate. \nFarm Scene Education Banners – This banners help to facilitate discussions with children on the importance of farming and agriculture.  The banners are designed to create guided conversations on how a plant grows\, how plants make food\, where our food comes from\, and how a pumpkin is pollinated. \nSing-a-long Trail – Walk the trail while singing along to the tune of Old MacDonald Had a Farm.  This is fun and entertaining as it starts off\, The Peterson Family had a farm ….. \nStorybook Trails \nEach of these trails contain 12 storyboards.  The students will enjoy the fun story as well as the colorful and detailed boards.  The storybook and plush animal for each of this Farm Staff member will be there to answer questions and share information with the groups.  There will also be boards around Animal Acreas telling about the different animals.  Children will get to the trail that includes 10 common traits that are common in individuals.  All but one trait is positive.  Can you guess what the negative one is?  The negative trait is Bullying.  This is a great time to talk at bullying and October is anti-bullying month. \nCommodity Trail – Trail that includes the top 10 agriculture commodities in North Carolina.  Do you know what a commodity is?  North Carolina is an agricultural leader in the United States. \nSunflower Info Display – Learn that sunflowers are a unique and valuable plant that have many uses.  Learn important facts about the diverse flower and then walk through the sunflowers. \nNature Trail – Walk the trail and learn about various trees that are native to eastern North Carolina and are identified along the trail. \nFarm Tracks – locate 6 medallions while walking the Nature Trail.  At medallion the student will create a rubbing of an animal track from each medallion.  At the end of the trail will be a banner and the student can identify and match the tracks to the correct animal. \nBee Waggle Game – Walk the flower field to find 6 medallions.  At each medallion the student will make a rubbing that will reveal the dance moves that bees make to tell other bees where the best flowers are located.  This is a fun and interactive way to get the students moving once they get back to the “hive” and show off the different Bee Waggling moves.  This simple game educates on the importance of bees and how they communicate. \nFarm Scene Education Banners – This banners help to facilitate discussions with children on the importance of farming and agriculture.  The banners are designed to create guided conversations on how a plant grows\, how plants make food\, where our food comes from\, and how a pumpkin is
